Graphic Features in a Non-Fiction Text

My Reflection

I have been learning to understand information by interpreting graphic features of a text.

I found it easy because I had my book to help me find ideas. My next step is to keep reading non-fiction books so I can get better at my reading.

Tidy Number Strategy

Reflection :

I have been learning how to use the tidy number strategy to find out the answer for addition problems. I found it easy because listening carefully to the steps that I needed to use.   I knew how to make a tidy number. My next step is to read the equation carefully and take care with my recording so I can get the right answer.

Fractions

  

         Reflection 

I was learning to under stand the parts of a fraction.

I found it easy to read the fraction because I had some help if I did a mistake.

My next step is to use bigger fraction to challenge me.

Volcanoes

Reflection

I have been learning to summarise and record my research in our own words.

I found summarising the information in to my own words easy because I found lots or information that I understand .

My next step is to find more hard ideas to challenge me more. 

My Pepeha

Reflection

I was learning how to draw a Pepeha.

When I was drawing my Pepeha I found it hard to sketch my Pepeha because 

I didn't now what a Pepeha was.

My next step is to put more maori pattens.    

My Special Place

Reflection

I was learning how to add detail using my five senses.

One thing that worked well for me was being in my Special Place to get ideas.

One thing I could do better next time is finding more sounds.

I think I did well with my Special Place because I used all my four senses.

I have been learning to draw Concentric Circles.

I found this art a-bit hard to make the right size of the circle.
